Here's Your "WARPLAN" To Meet & Date S'pore Women

I'm going to state one "hard-to-admit" scenario that most guys in
S'pore experience (but WON'T know what to do about it)...

Here goes.

Ever faced a Saturday (or your off-day) when you're at home -
feeling BORED, thinking there's something BETTER to do than to stay
in your room...

... and knowing you're better off someplace else... like out
SOCIALIZING with women.

It's one of those: "I'm missing out something... a piece of the
action" kind of feeling. (You silently know there's something about
"women and dating" you should move your butt on)

Yet, before long, ANOTHER feeling sets in.

It's this STUCK feeling - like you want to do something but don't
know where to START.

So that feeling lingers...

In the end, you simply convince yourself you'll just stay home.
Discouraged and thinking, "I'll do something... maybe next time."

Yikes...

Now here's the thing - It's easy to 'want to get good with women'
but feeling unmotivated at the same time.

That's a YUCKY trap that you might be caught in.

So what to do?

Here's a 'break out of the yuck' idea you can use...

I want you to create a "hitlist" of women (not the perfect word I
know, but let's just use it for now).

Actually it's 2 hitlists -

1) A list of girls you want to APPROACH
2) A list of single DATE-ABLE girls you already know

Let's start with the first one - your APPROACH hitlist.

Grab a fresh piece of paper and a pen.

First let your mind "wide-roam" and come up with some women whom
you can approach (look at your everyday life, it's a good reference
to start)

To give you an idea...

Example APPROACH hitlist:

a) That girl standing at the same spot every morning while I'm
waiting for mrt

b) That new lady who just joined the marketing department of the
company

c) That woman working at the handphone shop next to my house

d) That cute girl in the gym who appears every Thursday

- etc...

So come up with your own approach hitlist, think without
restricting your mind (and don't let your mind rest until you've
came up with AT LEAST 3).

Moving on, take another paper and jot your DATE-ABLE women hitlist.

Again, these are single ladies whom you ALREADY knew and you
perceive them to be of date-able quality.

Note: For some guys it may be tempting to just easily brush off and
think there isn't any woman to date. Refrain from doing that... DIG
deep.

Example DATE-ABLE women hitlist:

a) 21 year-old air stewardess I got introduced to by my cousin at
his wedding last year

b) That woman I worked with 3 years ago at the temp job

c) That secondary school crush whom I still have her contact number
(she might be still single now)

d) My army buddy's sister I got to know at a chalet

- etc...

Go through your past and present to extract as much as possible a
list of single females to possibly date.

Such an act WIDENS your reality of 'possibilities with women'.

Now, let's KICK-START everything.

Grab a calendar (with big square spaces on each day) and start
filling up the days - WHEN you'll be approaching the ladies in your
hitlist and WHEN you'll be calling the ladies out for dates.

Then take FEROCIOUS committed action on it.

The entire thing is like your social 'warplan'...

... and if you ever find yourself wanting to go out to 'make things
happen' with women but your mind is caught in cement, refer to this
'plan' to break out of it.

Do the above and if you want to add more S'pore-focused ATTRACTION
skills and word-by-word phrases to make your conversations with any
woman you talk to smoothly comfortable...

... and obtain for yourself more gals' phone numbers and dates,
check out my ebook - "The Ultimate Singapore Girl-Getter" along
with its 2 BONUS reports (and one additional special bonus).

See it at:
http://www.seductionsingapore.com/ultimatebook

Note: This ebook and its bonuses is instantly downloadable (you can
be reading it and taking notes twenty minutes from now). I've also
added an alternate option of using ATM and Internet banking as a
means for you to own a copy.

That's it, take good care of your dating life.

With Respect,
Skilldo

P.S: Acting on the 'exercise' above in this e-letter will put you
one step AHEAD of other guys in Singapore to become successful with
gals.

"Zombie Game" or How to Bring them Back from the Dead

Men are simple creatures. Give us women, sports, alcohol and zombie films and I think most of us are more than happy. In the past it is clear that anytime we can merge a few of these things together it's fair to assume that the following creation is almost always a success.

Game night in the local bar with a group of hot chicks... Movie theatres that show zombie flicks and allow you to drink alcohol at the same time... The movie Zombie Strippers featuring the porn star Jenna Jameson... Ok maybe not the last one so much, but in general these are good combinations. So it won't be surprising for you to learn that I had a massive celebration after I discovered one of my favourite tactics to help in the battle to understand the opposite sex, namely the art of Zombie Game or, for want of a better description, how to bring them back from the dead!

First of all, let's take a look at the average woman and the way she handles a guy who gets her phone number. We can break it down into a simple format or system as shown below;

A) You exchange numbers and she likes you

B) You exchange numbers and she doesn't like you

C) You exchange numbers and at first she likes you but then she doesn't

D) You exchange numbers and at first she doesn't like you but then she does

Four simple options, some have great outcomes some not so great. Lets narrow it down a bit, because some of them we really don't have to worry about. A and D pretty much handle themselves. At the end of the day the result of these two is that you end up with the girl, in the case of D it may have taken a bit of "game" on your end but the simple fact remains you managed to pull it off. With regards to this particular article we can ignore those two.

What we're interested in are the two that don't go anywhere. B and C these two options share one incredibly simple characteristic. The girl doesn't like you. It's plain and simple. You send a few more messages to her and attempt to "game" her, but for whatever reason you've just managed to fail and she's lost interest. Soon enough she gets bored with replying and stops. Then you stop messaging her and for all intents and purposes she is considered "dead" to you.

Normally you would leave her number in your phone as a "ghost" of the memory of the relationship that could've been. If only you had said "this" instead or perhaps you should have done "that," it doesn't matter, she is lost, dead to you...Or is she?

What if there was some kind of magic voodoo that we could perform that would bring her back from the dead?

Some kind of magic ritual that would enable us to once again take a chance at "gaming" her and perhaps getting her to realise that we aren't the tool bag she initially first thought. After all, sometimes in the cold light of day the "funny" text message you sent at 3 a.m when half drunk may actually seem pretty lame now.

The good news for you is that women are not like men. They don't enjoy keeping ghosts in their closets as reminders of all the weirdos that have hit on them. They do something very rational in their minds. To ensure they never have to deal with that person again, and so they don't have to have the temptation of calling they decide to put them out of their life for good.

They delete the number.

So what we have here is a girl who you've been attracted to, met only once in a bar, made a pretty lame first impression with and who has then after a few simple text exchanges grown bored/lost interest and deleted your number.

This gives you the ability to work some incredible social voodoo.

You see, after 3 months or so she is unlikely to remember who you are. However you can be sure that any girl's number that is sitting in your phone is someone who you were attracted to enough to at least get her number. Over a period of 3 months of going out "gaming" its fair to assume you're going to have a good solid collection of girls phone numbers for people who for whatever reason just didn't go anywhere. All you have to do is BRING THEM BACK FROM THE DEAD!!!!

The idea is simple. You first send a text message designed to trigger a great deal of curiosity due to it being interesting or funny enough to attract her attention. When she realises she doesn't know who has sent it she should be curious enough to reply and voila! You've successfully gotten into a position where you can speak to her all over again from scratch making a brand new first impression and, in video game terms, gain a second life so you can attempt to succeed where you failed last time.

So lets look at possible messages that could trigger a response. Remember you're going to have the best results with your own personalised messages. If everyone reading this simply copies it word for word people are going to work it out REALLY quickly.

So lets look at some examples;

Quirky

"OMG I've just come home to my house to discover an infestation of smurf's. What should I do?"

Funny

"So I've got this problem I need help with... What's orange and sounds like a parrot?" (The Answer is a carrot - keep in mind that almost any joke would work)

Interesting

"So if you came home to find someone's sex toys on your sofa how are you supposed to react?"

These are just a few quick examples, of course from these it's pretty easy to see what you're looking to do. Don't make the mistake of trying to personalise them for each person.

Just mass send them out to every number in your phone book who hasn't been texting you recently. Not all will respond, but you're going to find that a good bunch of them do, more than you'll be able to realistically be able to meet up with at least, which is going to keep you busy for a while.

The response are going to range from funny response which will be easy to reply to down to;

"Do I know you?/Who are you?"

The easiest catch all response I've found for this is to reply, either;

a) "Actually I've no idea how we know each other, I sent that message out to a few friends and accidentally added you too it, lol. Still, you must be cool if I've got you in my phone so what's your answer?"

or

b) "I think we met a while back and you wanted to take me to coffee but I never got back to you because I've been up to my eyeballs in work/travelling. I seem to remember you seemed pretty cool so I'm curious, what's your answer?"

Though of course you may need to improvise the answers if they vary too much from this, though that's probably not a bad thing as it's going to help you relate to the person a lot easier.

Zombie game is a very powerful tool and one which shouldn't be abused. You really want to stick to doing these mass texts sporadically no more than every 3 months or so, (otherwise you're going to end up spamming them) Still if you are going out and actively practicing then you should find that you have a good lump of numbers to send this out to. This is one of the best methods I've found of bringing dead interactions back to life, and helping you get a second chance with a girl you may have blown it with in the past.

Finally remember, this isn't a replacement for doing things correctly in the first place, it is simply an effective way of giving yourself a second chance with a girl you may have met previously and want another chance with once your skills at game have improved. After all your skill's with women should have significantly improved over a 3 month period.

Feel free to reproduce this article and share it with your friends, especially with those who have a habit of talking about the "girls that got away." Who knows, it may be just what they need to give them a solid second chance with her.

The best thing about this particular method is that it doesn't involve you having to go out to a club or coffee shops to hit on girls. You can do this from the comfort of your sofa with the sports on the TV, holding a nice brew in your hand whilst watching Jenna Jameson strutting her stuff on stage in a bad B-movie zombie horror flick.

Top 10 Pick Up Epiphanies

Top Ten Pick Up Epiphaniesby Neil Strauss
1. What you look like doesn't matter. But how you present yourself does.

2. Nobody is judging you. They're too busy worrying about what you think of them. So instead of seeking her approval, give her yours. Then take it away. Then give it to her again. This is called flirting.

3. Women like nice guys. They just don't like weak guys. So you can still be nice, but you mustalso be confident and strong-minded. In order for a woman to be with you, she needs to feel safe with you.

4. It's not enough to just be yourself. You must be your best self.

5. There's a thin, but important line between being horny and being sexual. A horny man hits ona woman before she’s attracted to him. A sexual man waits until he’s attracted her.

6. Just because you're interacting doesn't mean you're attracting. Learn to recognize the difference between politeness and interest.

7. To win the heart of a woman, you have to be willing to risk losing her.
8. When a girl you went on a date with in thepast or who suddenly disappeared on you calls youout of the blue, it generally means one thing –so call back right away before she finds someone else to be with that night.

9. Always call a woman the day after sleeping with her and make her feel good about having letgo with you. Even if you don't want to see her again or she doesn't want to see you again. Don't ruin her for other guys.

10. Finally, to quote the wisdom of Canadian hockey player Wayne Gretzky, "You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take." So simply by approaching and saying something, no matter how badly you may bumble, you've dramatically increased your odds of being with her.

Best,
Neil

NOKIA has a new addition in its touchscreen cellphone family which will be "competitively priced".
The 5230, with a 3.2-inch touchscreen, is aimed at those who use their cellphone as their main gizmo for music, photos and videos, as well as networking on sites like Facebook and MySpace.

Knockout Crab Beehoon at Fisherman’s Wharf

Fisherman’s Wharf
Where: 9 Japanese Garden Road, Lakeside Fishing Village
Tel: 6266 5868

The Claypot Crab Bee Hoon was a knockout.

Lunch Guide

Singapore, September 7, 2009 - Fisherman’s Wharf, a cosy restaurant situated along Japanese Garden Road, is an idyllic venue for both families and office workers to enjoy a good meal.

Having selected their signature Executive Set Lunch, I started my meal with the Dual-style Prawn Fritters. The dish consists of two hefty red-legged sea prawns, one of which is coated with salted egg yolk, and the other with cheese.

The crisp and granular outer layer of the salted egg yolk is a delightful complement to the firm and springy flesh of the prawn within. The contrasting texture of the luscious cheese oozing all over the palate as one bites into the other prawns is just as pleasurable.

Next came the Supreme Tofu & Chicken Drumlet. Eat the tofu together with its toppings, which consist of cucumber slices Thai chilli sauce and chicken floss, so that you can experience the delectable combination of textures and flavours.

This dish, prepared with honey and fruit juices and topped with a sprinkling of fragrant sesame seeds, is rich in aroma and flavour.

The Claypot Crab Bee Hoon that came next was a knockout. As the owner advises, start savouring the crab first so that the vermicelli has enough time to “settle”. After you’ve spend the first 10 minutes or so tucking into the juicy crab meat, move on to the beehoon, which would have absorbed all the delightful flavours of the crab and garnishing by then.

Other dishes included in the set menu are the Dual-style Chinese Broccoli and Cocoon Cod Fish. The dessert – Bobo Hitam (black glutinous rice) with Yam Ice Cream – is a perfectly sweet way to wrap up the meal.

The entire set lunch is prices at $28.80, which is real value for money, if you ask me.

Dead Sea Scrolls exhibition to open at The Arts House

SINGAPORE: Singaporeans will be treated to a touch of history spanning over 5,000 years through the Dead Sea Scrolls and The Ancient World exhibition at The Arts House.

More than 100 artefacts will be featured in the exhibition — a first in Asia.

The exhibition includes four fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest—known Hebrew manuscripts of the bible.

Also on display is the Lunar Bible, so called because it is the first bible to be taken to the moon.

Visitors will also be treated to one of the earliest forms of written expression via clay cuneiform tablets.

They can also view the names of Polish Jews who survived the Nazi occupation through a Holocaust Survivor Scroll.

The Dead Sea Scrolls and The Ancient World exhibition opens Thursday and will run till September 20.

How to convert believers

Just had another impactful sermon today

A lot of us are wondering how do we convince non-believers to become a believer ? Sometimes reality is so simple we get stunned.

All we need is to ask 2 questions :

  1. Do you know that Jesus loves you ?
  2. Do you want to accept Jesus' love for you ?
If the answer is yes for both, then you can start praying for your friend to let him accept Christ as his/her personal Lord and Saviour.

Meeting up with Ms Ponytail

Been trying to arrange a meeting with her for quite a long time as she is perpetually busy but today is my lucky day I guess. =)

We met up somewhere between our workplace since its not too far off with just 1 bus ride away. I don't think I should be calling her ms ponytail anymore since she has ditched the schoolgirl hairstyle in favour of curls which I think also suits her current image of a office girl more.

I had dumpling noodles at the food centre near harborfront bus interchange which I think is pretty good, worth coming back again.

Signing off with a classic song - Smoke Gets in Your Eyes

where got ghost ?

caught the movie where got ghost ? today. I was a little disappointed since it was only partially funny at times and not scary for most of the time.

maybe its because i cannot understand hokkien so did not really catch some of the jokes they were mentioning.

But i think the first story is pretty bizzare yet amazing with this idea of combining telemarketing with temple donations and 4D.

23 winning combinations and with each winner contributing 20% of their winnings to them, its a sure win situation for them since they r giving all 10 000 numbers to people and surely some of them will strike.

Need more Sleep

Been working for a week but feel sleepy everyday while at work. I can only blame myself for sleeping too late and too little so the sleep deficit builds up until the weekends.

Even during the weekend I sleep even later hence not helping the situation.

But from today I will ensure I get at least 8 hrs of sleep so that I will not become a zombie the next day and have enough energy to carry out the day's activities.

End off here with a song from 911 - Party People Friday Night

Celtic 0 - 2 Arsenal

Fortune favours Gunners

William Gallas (43)
Gary Caldwell (og 71)

A deflection and an own goal helped Arsenal overcome Celtic in Glasgow to leave the Gunners with one foot in the Champions League group stages.
Arsenal took the lead two minutes before the break when William Gallas inadvertently diverted a Cesc Fabregas free-kick past Artur Boruc, and Gary Caldwell put through his own net in the 71st minute.

Only Barcelona and Dinamo Moscow, in the previous round, had beaten Celtic in the previous 36 European matches at Parkhead.

But Arsene Wenger's side enjoyed a comfortable second half to leave them in a commanding position ahead of next week's play-off second leg.

Barcelona have also lost at Celtic Park during that run, along with the likes of Juventus, AC Milan and Manchester United, but Celtic failed to put their latest visitors under serious pressure.

Although both sides had enjoyed comfortable away wins in their opening league wins on Saturday, Celtic manager Tony Mowbray opted for radical alterations to his frontline while Arsenal were unchanged following their 6-1 win at Everton.

source : http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report?id=281614&cc=4716

Arsenal is off to a flying start ! I wonder if they will be able to maintain their consistency til the end of the season. Thomas Vermaelen seems like a good buy.

Great plot with excellent cast including Linda Chung whom I personally love ( Chang Zai Xin ).

Happy National Day Singapore ~!

its the 9th of August 2009 and it falls on a Sunday ! This means Monday will be a public holiday to all and I'm sure everyone is enjoying the long weekends.

Here's a video from ClickNetwork tv "Chick vs Dick" Paul and Kay Kay are tested on various popular Singaporean Songs in 'Don't Forget The Lyrics' style!

Enjoy the songs which some i'm sure you will find familiar having to sing them while in school.

Happy National Day everyone !

Up, Up and Away !

Went to catch the movie UP.

its in 3D and costs $13 for weekend so if you haven't caught the show watch it on a weekday its only 10 dollars =)

this movie reminds us about the dreams and big goals we have a child but somehow they become forgotten or put aside due to other commitments in life.

therefore we should think about what we really want to achieve in life before they become hidden under a pile of everyday routine like work and become forgotten.

that aside, we can continue to plan bigger goals when we have achieved the first one so that we lead a purposeful and meaningful life.

the weird part about this movie is that in the beginning the old man walks v slowly with a walking stick but towards the end he comes a SUPER AGILE jacky chan once he enters South America where is trying to fulfill his wife's dream. I guess that's why its an animated movie. Anything goes.

Singapore's Nationwide Next Generation National Broadband Network Deployment On Track

The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) today announced the successful achievement of the Contractual and Financial Close (CFC) by OpenNet, Singapore's Next Generation National Broadband Network (Next Gen NBN) Network Company (NetCo). OpenNet has been issued a Facilities-Based Operator Licence for it to commence the roll out of the Next Gen NBN 1.

As part of OpenNet's CFC, IDA has also approved its implementation plan of the Asset Company (AssetCo) which will be established as a business trust within 24 months of OpenNet's CFC. The AssetCo, as proposed by OpenNet in its NetCo Request-for-Proposal (RFP) submission, will own and control the relevant underlying passive infrastructure assets that are used to support OpenNet's deployment. These underlying assets, which include central offices, ducts and manholes, will be transferred from SingTel to AssetCo. By leveraging existing underlying assets, OpenNet will be able to achieve a speedy deployment with minimal disruption when civil works begin later this year.

SingTel will be required to reduce its unit holdings in the AssetCo to less than 25 per cent within 60 months of OpenNet's CFC, subject to SingTel obtaining relevant approvals. The management and operations of AssetCo will be undertaken by a neutral Trustee-Manager, which will
be an FBO licensee.

IDA today also signed the Next Gen NBN Operating Company (OpCo) contract with Nucleus Connect. As the OpCo of the Next Gen NBN, Nucleus Connect will be working with OpenNet, on a joint roll out plan towards achieving 60 per cent coverage of all residential premises and non-residential buildings by end 2010, and 95 per cent of all residential premises and non-residential buildings by 2012.

Stella Ng insists she's not broke

Singer-actress Stella Ng recently celebrated the second anniversary of her chocolate cake shop, BLACK As Chocolate. She confirmed that she is engaged in a lawsuit with Awfully Chocolate and proceedings are currently being held in the Singapore courts. The singer refuted the bankruptcy reports and clarified that it was an unfair image portrayed by the company.

After Ng created her own cake label, BLACK As Chocolate, in 2007, she was sued by Awfully Chocolate for her violation of rights in both Taiwan and Singapore. The company demanded a compensation sum of S$280,000 on terms of breaking her contract with them. Her hesitations and refusal to pay up the compensation sum has led the high courts to declare her a bankrupt.

She expressed that conflicting views and opinions caused her to give up her franchise of the Awfully Chocolate cake shop and pointed out that she had won both court cases in Taiwan. Ng believes that her previous older bank statements were produced by the company as evidence in the Singapore courts and was an unfair representation of her current financial status. "The court case is still ongoing! How can I be bankrupt?"

BLACK As Chocolate sells an average of 15,000 cakes a month. To ride on her cake shop's booming success, Ng created a second label, BLACK DESIGNS, to cater specially designed and created cakes for wedding couples and celebrities.

the Spirit of God

Wisdom and ( can't remember )

These are what we need to understand the spirit of God. To look upon what is above and make it our goal
to win souls so that when we get to Heaven we will not be empty handed and lived our lives in vain.

Our physical self lives in this world hence some may be lost or even become too focussed on the things of the world but if we just keep the faith, we will be able to draw our eyes to what is the ultimate goal and not on earthly temporal riches or wealth.

There was a story that goes once upon a time a man died and went to Heaven. St Peter was at the gates of Heaven to welcome the man.

The man brought 2 bags of stuff with him as he approached the gates of Heaven. Peter asked him," What's in the bags that you have brought ?"

The man replied, "This is gold ! All my life I have been working so hard to achieve these 2 bags of gold. "

Peter : " Hey dude, gold is used to pave the roads in Heaven. 2 bags of gold isn't worth much here. "

This story tells us that what we see as important might not be really important in the end. Vice versa, what we neglect around us may ultimately be very important in the end.

JobStreet Interview Tips

1. Read the job description and company profile carefully so that you are aware of the job details when an employer calls you about your application. If the job advertisement does not contain enough information, ask the employer for more details.

2. Remember to write down the name & contact number of the recruiter in case you need to call back later.

3. Prepare for the interview by finding out more about the company, the job and the industry.

Pay holds steady for some diploma, degree graduates

SINGAPORE: While polytechnics and the government are rolling out schemes to help fresh graduates get by in the tight job market, one survey presents another picture: More than 50 per cent of companies are hiring fresh diploma and degree graduates, with salaries at least in some sectors holding steady.

These are engineering, IT and telecommunications, finance and accounting, and logistics, according to a Hay Group’s Fresh Graduate Pay survey. It polled 100 companies in Singapore in May.

"Though companies are recruiting less, they are still willing to pay a fair wage," said Hay Group Singapore’s country head of reward information services, Mr Christian Vo Phuoc.

Engineering degree—holders attract the highest starting salaries of S$2,700 a month, about S$200 more than the other three professions. Employers are also more optimistic about 2010, forecasting higher starting salaries for these four jobs.

Ms Annie Yap, managing director of recruitment firm AYP Associates said the premium wage is due to a "shortage of engineers" arising from the move to high—tech manufacturing.

There is also always a demand for accounting graduates because fresh graduates usually stay with a firm for a few years "learning one area". Then, they typically move on, leaving vacancies behind.

The optimistic hiring expectations from logistics companies were a surprise though. Salaries as high as S$2,900 have been forecast for fresh degree—holders in 2010, up from S$2,450 this year.

"Logistics usually follow after manufacturing. You produce and then you ship out," said Ms Yap. Still, the market is good for fresh graduates now, she said.

Some, however told TODAY it had been extremely trying to find a job. Ms Kartika Liaw, 22, a business graduate from the Singapore Management University said she found her marketing job after sending out "more than 100" applications.

Temasek Polytechnic graduate Nurul Fathin Aida Omar, now with the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), said she would not have got her job if not for her internship at RBS earlier this year.

The 20—year—old Financial Business Informatics diploma holder’s starting pay is S$2,000 — higher than the average market rate.

Total Solar Eclipse 22th July

VARANASI, India (AFP) - - The longest solar eclipse of the 21st century cast a shadow over much of Asia on Wednesday, plunging hundreds of millions into darkness across the giant land masses of India and China.

Ancient superstition and modern commerce came together in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity likely to end up being the most watched eclipse in history, due to its path over Earth's most densely inhabited areas.

While bad weather confounded some eclipse watchers, tens of thousands of people gathered at dawn on the banks of the Ganges river in Varanasi where a largely cloudless morning offered a stunning view.

With Hindu priests conducting special prayers, the crowds cheered and then raised their arms in salutation as the sun re-emerged from behind the moon, before they took a spiritually purifying dip in the river's holy waters.

A total solar eclipse usually occurs every 18 months or so, but Wednesday's spectacle was special for its maximum period of "totality" -- when the sun is wholly covered by the moon -- of six minutes and 39 seconds.

Such a lengthy duration will not be matched until the year 2132.

State-run China Central Television provided minute-by-minute coverage of what it dubbed "The Great Yangtze River Solar Eclipse" as the phenomenon cut a path along the river's drainage basin.

Millions of people in areas of southwestern China enjoyed a clear line of sight, according to images broadcast on CCTV, but the view was obstructed along much of its path by cloudy weather.

Shanghai viewers braved rain and overcast skies to witness the spectacle as darkness shrouded China's commercial hub at 9:36 am (0136 GMT).

"It is working hours now, but with such a spectacle going on, you don't want to miss it. The experience is truly thrilling," said Allen Chen, a Shanghai office worker, who stepped out into the street to witness the event.

And despite the weather, hotels along Shanghai's famed waterfront Bund packed in the customers with eclipse breakfast specials.

Those who could afford it grabbed expensive seats on planes chartered by specialist travel agencies that promised extended views of the eclipse as they chased the shadow eastwards.

The cone-shaped shadow, or umbra, created by the total eclipse first made landfall on the western Indian state of Gujarat shortly before 6:30 am (0100 GMT).

It then raced across India and squeezed between Bangladesh and Nepal before engulfing most of Bhutan, traversing the Chinese mainland and slipping back out to sea off Shanghai.

From there it moved across the islands of southern Japan and veered into the western Pacific.

In Mumbai, hundreds of people who trekked up to the Nehru planetarium clutching eclipse sunglasses found themselves reaching for umbrellas and rain jackets instead as heavy overnight rain turned torrential.

"We didn't want to watch it on television and we thought this would be the best place," said 19-year-old student Dwayne Fernandes. "We could've stayed in bed."

Others opted to stay home and shuttered their windows, fearful of the effects of the lunar shadow which some believe can lead to birth defects in pregnant women.

Superstition has always haunted the moment when Earth, moon and sun are perfectly aligned. The daytime extinction of the sun, the source of all life, is associated with war, famine, flood and the death or birth of rulers.

The ancient Chinese blamed a sun-eating dragon. In Hindu mythology, the two demons Rahu and Ketu are said to "swallow" the sun during eclipses, snuffing out its light and causing food to become inedible and water undrinkable.

Some Indian astrologers had issued predictions laden with gloom and foreboding, and a gynaecologist at a Delhi hospital said many expectant mothers scheduled for July 22 caesarian deliveries insisted on changing the date.

The last total solar eclipse was on August 1 last year and also crossed China.

The next will be on July 11, 2010, but will occur almost entirely over the South Pacific, where Easter Island -- home of the legendary moai giant statues -- will be one of the few landfalls.

Secret to a Happy Marriage

SYDNEY - Living happily ever after needn't only be for fairy tales. Australian researchers have identified what it takes to keep a couple together, and it's a lot more than just being in love.

A couple's age, previous relationships and even whether they smoke or not are factors that influence whether their marriage is going to last, according to a study by researchers from the Australian National University.

The study, entitled "What's Love Got to Do With It," tracked nearly 2,500 couples -- married or living together -- from 2001 to 2007 to identify factors associated with those who remained together compared with those who divorced or separated.

It found that a husband who is nine or more years older than his wife is twice as likely to get divorced, as are husbands who get married before they turn 25.

Children also influence the longevity of a marriage or relationship, with one-fifth of couples who have kids before marriage -- either from a previous relationship or in the same relationship -- having separated compared to just nine percent of couples without children born before marriage.

Women who want children much more than their partners are also more likely to get a divorce.
A couple's parents also have a role to play in their own relationship, with the study showing some 16 percent of men and women whose parents ever separated or divorced experienced marital separation themselves compared to 10 percent for those whose parents did not separate.

Also, partners who are on their second or third marriage are 90 percent more likely to separate than spouses who are both in their first marriage.

Not surprisingly, money also plays a role, with up to 16 percent of respondents who indicated they were poor or where the husband -- not the wife -- was unemployed saying they had separated, compared with only nine percent of couples with healthy finances.

And couples where one partner, and not the other, smokes are also more likely to have a relationship that ends in failure.

Factors found to not significantly affect separation risk included the number and age of children born to a married couple, the wife's employment status and the number of years the couple had been employed.

The study was jointly written by Dr Rebecca Kippen and Professor Bruce Chapman from The Australian National University, and Dr Peng Yu from the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs.

Solar eclipse on July 22

THE eclipse of a lifetime takes place in July, and people here will get to see a small slice of the action.

During the July 22 solar eclipse, the Sun will be completely blacked out, and day will turn to night for six minutes - the longest eclipse this century.

Complete darkness will affect a swathe of land that will stretch across parts of India, Bangladesh, China and the Pacific Ocean, but which will be just 16km- to 32km-wide.

In Singapore, which is outside the band, the Sun will be partially cloaked.

A solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes in front of the Sun and blocks it.

While there are up to five eclipses a year, total eclipses are rare, happening in the same location once every 370 years and lasting mere seconds to minutes. The last one - which lasted about 21/2 minutes - was on Aug 1 last year.

The July eclipse will be partially visible in Singapore from 8.41am to 9.44am, peaking at 9.11am.

Seen from here, 10 per cent to 20 per cent of the Sun will be obscured because of the Moon's path in relation to Singapore's location.

To catch the sight in its full glory, a small band of eclipse-chasers from the Astronomical Society of Singapore will be travelling to the Chinese city of Wuhan, about 600km west of Shanghai, to view and photograph the spectacle.

Remember to wake up earlier on this day if you want to see the eclipse !

interviews and more interviews

This is the interview week where i have 4 interviews scheduled so far and went for 3.

Yesterday had an interview at PSA building at a company. They primarily deal with commodities trading and the position was one of business analyst which i kind of like. I hope they hire me though its a contract position.

today was a rather bad day because of the rainy weather which made travelling inconvenient but luckily i had my umbrella with me or it would definitely make my cold worse. went for 2 interviews both related to prudential insurance but i like the 2nd company better as the guy seems more sincere and asked me to think about it as compared to the first one which ask me on the spot to make a decision.

I'm not sure if this line suits me since i'm not a very convincing person when it comes to selling stuff or promoting stuff but i guess its an option if i cannot find a job.

I saw the infamous Tammy yesterday

while on my way to sim lim to collect my laptop, I was on bus passing by clarke quay on the bridge and so happened i was looking out of the window to my left and saw Tammy in person dressed in formal attire.

I guess she works in the area or doing internship there. the time was around 5 plus so i guess she just got off work.

The best is still getting back my laptop after sending it for repair 2 weeks ago. Its really hard to survive without a computer nowadays especially when you are not working or studying.

IPO - initial public offering : (Wikipedia) Initial public offering (IPO), also referred to simply as a "public offering" or "flotation," is when a company issues common stock or shares to the public for the first time. They are often issued by smaller, younger companies seeking capital to expand, but can also be done by large privately-owned companies looking to become publicly traded.

In an IPO the issuer may obtain the assistance of an underwriting firm, which helps it determine what type of security to issue (common or preferred), best offering price and time to bring it to market.

An IPO can be a risky investment. For the individual investor, it is tough to predict what the stock or shares will do on its initial day of trading and in the near future since there is often little historical data with which to analyze the company. Also, most IPOs are of companies going through a transitory growth period, and they are therefore subject to additional uncertainty regarding their future value. However, in order to make money, calculated risks need to be taken.

Private Equity

In finance, private equity is an asset class consisting of equity securities in operating companies that are not publicly traded on a stock exchange. Investments in private equity most often involve either an investment of capital into an operating company or the acquisition of an operating company. Capital for private equity is raised primarily from institutional investors. There is a wide array of types and styles of private equity and the term private equity has different connotations in different countries.

Gross Domestic Product

The gross domestic product (GDP) or gross domestic income (GDI), a basic measure of an economy's economic performance, is the market value of all final goods and services made within the borders of a nation in a year. [1] GDP can be defined in three ways, all of which are conceptually identical. First, it is equal to the total expenditures for all final goods and services produced within the country in a stipulated period of time (usually a 365-day year). Second, it is equal to the sum of the value added at every stage of production (the intermediate stages) by all the industries within a country, plus taxes less subsidies on products, in the period. Third, it is equal to the sum of the income generated by production in the country in the period—that is, compensation of employees, taxes on production and imports less subsidies, and gross operating surplus (or profits).[2] [3]

The most common approach to measuring and quantifying GDP is the expenditure method:

GDP = consumption + gross investment + government spending + (exportsimports), or,
GDP = C + I + G + (X − M).

How to get a girl in 60 days

This is something i picked up from EDMW of hardwarezone forum and I thought it is pretty interesting so I shall re-post it here along with a link to the original source.

There are a lot of relationships that really just come naturally without the guy having to talk some pattern on to the girl… maybe there is this age old concept called chemistry between 2 people eh? Or maybe u r just plain old lucky.

So what I will be teaching has nothing to do wif PUA. I can say it’s even more than that. What PUA teaches u is the seduction stage. What happens when you get the girl? Being a PUA does not mean your heart won’t get broken. Even Mystery got his heart broken in the book “The Game”. Patterns and tricks can only get you that far in a girl. Maybe that is what inspired me to take time off to write about relationships maintenance because I want to reduce the number of guys’ heart from getting broken again. Most if not all of the issues and problems can be traced way to the first 60 days of the relationship. Hence the first 60 days is the most important part of your relationship. It sets the tone for the future path because any differences from the first 60 days in the future, she will say that you have changed or it was not what it used to be. Hence she will always use the beginning as a gauge to judge the present. Screw the beginning stage and you have a very bad gauge for her to judge in the future. On your part, you can also look out for signs whether she will be suitable for a long term mate. If she is not, you can get out early and spare yourself the heartache later one. If u sense she is trouble early in the first 60 days but u still let her continue, then u are in for trouble in the long run and only urself to blame...

Final notice: You won’t learn how to pick up girls or jio girls in my series. This series is only useful for if you are planning to start a new relationship in the future or are in the beginning phrase now. For those in a relationship already, maybe you can learn some bits and extracts from it.

Part 2:

The most, most important part of the relationship is her interest level. I cannot stress this enough. Repeat after me… “HER INTEREST LEVEL” . Notice the word “her”. This means that your interest level is not important. Your interest level has NO correlation to hers. You can love her until the heavens but your gf can heck care you. Sad but true. See everything in percentages, from 0-100%. If she is very willing to go out with you, keeps calling you… you are safe, her interest level should be around 80-90%. If you sense she is more distant from you (not wanting to go out wif u, or going out on dates wif a cant care less face), then yes, the percentages are dropping… from 90 to 80 to 70 to 60% to finally fail and below 50%. At this point, she will say things like, “ I need my own space.” “You should date other girls but I’ll still date you.” “ I don’t think we are compatible.” and many more…

It is important to recognize the drop so you can react immediately as it occurs. DON’T RATIONALISE HER. What’s rationalizing? Oh she is distant from me because she had a bad week at school/work. She is distant from me because she is having period now. She is distant from me because her favorite guy in the drama died. She is distant from me because she blah blah blah (whatever reason you can think of, anything that is not related to me).

Please, I know guys have a massive ego and will never believe that a girl will not like them anymore. But be a man and face the fact that her interest level is dropping. It means she likes me less and less. Simple isn’t it? Why rationalize her actions and assume she still likes you but is distant from you because of the reasons you crack your head thinking of? Maybe its because you watch too much drama that two people truly love each other but cannot be together because of some reasons?

I even had a girl who had period who still went out with me. Why? Because her interest level was high! Just like if your favorite av idol came to Singapore airport, you would even go there in crutches even you were injured! Why? Because you had high interest level in her! The simple fact is that if she likes you, she wants to be you. However if her interest level has dropped, take a step back and recall why she likes u less now.

There are a lot of reasons why her interest level drops:

1) U turn her off… think back to some action u did in the past that turned her off… confessing too much? Scolding her? Disrespecting her? More will be elaborated about how a man should behave in the next few parts

2) U did nothing wrong in your opinion and she felt she did nothing wrong in her opinion. Sometimes it’s just a clash of ideology and she feels that u r not the one for her. Example: u hate ur gf going clubbing, and she thinks its ok, its not as if she is sleeping around. This one I can’t help you, you need to resolve these issues through negotiation and compromise. Though I would like to point out girls with high interest level like in the 90% will do anything for you, and anything you say because they are really scared of losing you.

3) U did nothing wrong but she found someone new… hence the withdrawal from u…

4) U did nothing wrong, but her interest level at the beginning was not high anyway… she was ai mai ai mai, thinking she will love u wif time, but she realize she cannot, hence the withdrawal.

Depending on what reason, u need to act appropriately, for reason 1: apologize and rectify, promising her and yourself you will not do that again. I’m sorry but the time machine has not been invented, you can’t go back in time and rectify the mistake. Move on and learn your lesson if she does not accept your apology and can’t get the past image of that guy who turned her off. For reason 2, you need to negotiate and compromise.

I wanna focus on 3 and 4, no use trying to convince her anything, and no use trying to confess or buy gifts to win her back, u did nothing wrong but the problem is now coming from her, hence u haf to withdraw… Take for example, u dun like a gal anymore, u think if she buys u gifts and tells u how much she loves u, u will like her more? No rite, but if she ignores u, u will think whether u made the right move, or what she is doing now, or if she is dating other ppl, ur interest in her goes up, cos u wonder wat the other guy sees in her…

What this means to u is to withdraw from her if u sense she does not like u as much anymore, let her know u got expectations n will leave if someone does not like u. Lose the romance but dun lose respect. Tell her nicely, u have expectations that u won’t date someone who won’t like u, call me again when your mind is cleared again about us. This is so much better than begging with gifts and confession to get your gf back, especially if u had done nothing wrong…

I can tell u through my experience begging does not work and to guys who begged and their gf went back, its because they felt guilty and pity the poor guy… this type of r/s usually won’t last long because the guy has lost all respect in the relationship…

Walk away with your head up high even though it hurts you inside… If she does call and regrets her change of heart (clever girl!), then at least when u r back together, she will still respect u as someone who won’t waste his time and will love only if he is loved…

As you can see, I am not God and I can’t save all relationships but what I can do is to prevent reason 1 from happening by keeping her interest level high. How should a boyfriend behave then to keep her interest high? Look out for next part.

Part 3:

To keep her interest level high, you need the 3Cs.

1) Confidence- I don’t think I need to elaborate more on this. Humoring the girl and leading the girl will add points to your confidence. Go google on how to be more confident to learn more.

I would like to add that you should always develop self improvement. Getting her does not mean you can slacken.

How can I look better? More gym? More facials? Better clothes?

How can I become richer? Take a course? Work harder?

That way if someone richer comes along, at least she can comfort herself that you are on your way up. Her chances of hopping to that other guy decreases as compared to a scenario where u are a stagnant guy whom she sees no chance ever to be like the rich guy in this life time.

2) Control. You cannot control her, you cannot control the relationship but you can control your own emotions and actions. This is very important. What do I mean by control?

Control means going through your mind every time you want to do something or say something. Will that action raise her interest level?

Will what I do now come back and bite me next time when we argue?

Do not believe the female expert’s advice that you need to be open with your gf and say everything that comes to your mind. Think carefully before you say something to her.

This means she does not need to know everything that is on your mind right now. Do not believe what the female love experts say about open communication and say everything that is on your mind to her, your feelings etc. (Of course the female experts would advise this! They want to know everything on the man’s mind because knowledge is power)

Ask a so called female expert about how to jio a girl, and most likely she will say oh tell her how you feel about her. But as most of you know or have tried before, telling her on the first date how much you really like her always backfires.

How this applies to relationship is that you control yourself too. Even though you everyday think about her all the time and wanna tell her I love you a hundred times a day… Don’t do that. Control your mouth and don’t say these mushy things out loud even though you feel like it. These things should be said out sparingly.

Another self control you need to develop is not saying negative things or thoughts. She already has depressing things in her life, her job/sch and even listening to the news.

Control is also important in quarrels, when u say something towards them, u tend to get hot headed and anything sprouts out. Take a step back and defend ur case only with facts that can be backed up, because really what is said at the heat of the moment cannot be taken back.

When you forgive and forget a past incident she has done, then do not bring that up again. Saying negative things will only lead to her interest level dropping bit by bit until she says she is no longer happy with you and then is GG to you.

And lastly, your gf is NOT your best friend. This is the misconception by the media today where girls say oh I married my best friend. Your parents and friends can forgive your wrong actions but a partner always remembers them.

Also your conversation topics with your best friend is different from your partner. How would u feel if your gf tells you about the latest fashion, hair styles and manicures etc like the way she tells her good friend? Initially, you would look interested but after a year of telling you that, you would wish that can’t she shut the fug up about this? I am not your girlfriends.

The same applies for guys too. You do not keep talking about your manly things all the time like soccer and other guy topics. She also does not need to know every boring detail about you. Girls always claim they want soul mates so they want the guy to tell her everything, but when they really do hear everything, especially the bad, they get turned off. (example: you confess you went geylang before).

In essence, control is self control of what you say and do. Remember: words once spoken cannot be taken back, always think twice about what you are going to do and don’t do the first thing that comes to your mind when you are with her.

Enough of part 3. The next part will be the 3rd C…. Challenge

Part 4: Challenge

This I can say is the most important of all. If you are the challenge and she has to work hard to get you, she won’t dump you. Nobody dumps something they are constantly pursuing. They will only dump that thing after getting it and realizing it was no big deal.

As I mentioned before, the first 60 days are the most important part of the relationship where the foundations, rules and norms are set. Example, you call everyday during the first 60 days. Sadly now that is the norm, once you slow down your calling to 2 days once, she will say you have changed or the relationship is not like what it used to be, you don’t love me as much anymore because you don’t call me as frequent now. Unbelievable right?

Hence think about how you would like the relationship to be in the future. These are some of my rules personally so I do these right at the start.

1) I prefer to chat on the phone every 2 -3 days. When we chat, it must not be that long, maybe about 10-15 minutes to enquire about each other’s lifestyles and to arrange the next date.

Now linking to challenge, I really don’t encourage you call everyday. That’s anti challenge. In my case I call her every 2-3 days and in between the days I do not call, I am giving her the opportunity to call me. I am now the challenge and she has to pursue me. This push pull in the relationship makes it healthy.

Have you ever have the feeling of missing her when you call and she does not pick up, or sms and she does not reply immediately? Same concept applies here too. If she has to be the one who calls you or sms you sometimes, she will miss you too. So please don’t always be the one to contact her.

Some may say oh if I do not call, she will not call me one. It does not matter. So be it, I’ll just be the one calling but I will still call every 2-3 days. (oh yeah, substitute calling for msn, sms, whatever.) Hopefully she will pick up the slack in the future and be the one to contact you when you two are deeper in love.

2) Don’t say out your whole life story. Its anti challenge. Tell it to her bit by bit. If she is going to be with you for the long term or even your wife, then why the need to tell everything about you to her now? She’ll know it for the long term if you want her to stick around for the next 50 years or so.

That is why I despair when couples in a heat of passion during the first 60 days tell their whole life story to each other. They can chat on the phone for hours everyday. After maybe a year, things get stale already because there is nothing fresh about each other to know…

From there, topics start to get limited and the relationship goes downhill and again using the first 60 days as gauge, the girl will tell herself the relationship is not what it used to be and then is GG. (That is why I like to chat only 10-15min on the phone).

So please I know in a heat of passion, you just want to see her everyday and tell her everything about you in the beginning but please take a step back and control yourself. Let her know you bit by bit one small step at a time and she has to be constantly pursuing you for more things about yourself.

You are now the challenge and she will want to stick around to know more about you.

3) Mushy things should be limited. If you confess everything too early, you are anti challenge. Show that you love her through your ACTIONS, not your big mouth. Treat her dinner, hold her hand, hug her close, compliment her, be a gentlemen, care for her, etc to show your love. When you do that, your girlfriend already knows how you feel about her already.

Do not say “I love you” until she says that to you. Reward her with flowers, gifts if she is nice to you (but do it only after the first 60 days) and not as a last grasp move when you sense she is getting more and more distant from you.

Female experts would want you to pour your feelings to her but of course they do! Who does not feel shiok when someone confess to you? But one thing they do not gurantee you is that the gf will say I love you back.

Some couples say “I love you” every time they end a sms conversation or phone chat. Don’t be that couple because the “I love you” has no value anymore! I want you to be the boyfriend where she has to work to get your approval of that phrase constantly and blush even years later when she gets to hear that phrase of assurance.

So if you want to stick around long enough, keep the words I love you close to your heart and use it only after she has said that to you. Meanwhile show her that you love her through your ACTIONS!

4) Whatever other rules and norms you want. For example, you prefer to go dutch at dinners. Then have this rule right at the start. She will feel very offended if you treat her for the first 60 days then after that demand that we go dutch!

That is enough for the guy. It takes two to clap so I shall elaborate what to look out for in the girlfriend in my final part.

End of part 4.

Part 5:
Sometimes you do everything right and have the 3Cs, but still face problems then maybe they are on the female side. The three most important traits are integrity, flexibility and emotional baggage.
It is very important you look out for these during the first 60 days so you can have an easier break up early than breaking up 2 yrs down the road or even worse divorce because you two are married.

1) She needs to have integrity. She must not cheat on you. Take note that interest level is not related to integrity. She can love you a lot but still enjoys clubbing at night and getting one-night stands. These type of girls you are better off without them.

2) She needs to have flexibility. Let’s face it, 2 different people together means a lot of differences. The only thing for both of them to stick together is flexibility.

Does she do what you want her to do? Does she accommodate to you? Does she do difficult things for you (like cooking) just to make you happy? If yes then she is flexible and when arguments occur(which confirm will happen), she will then negotiate and accommodate to you. If you have an inflexible girl on hand then your future relationship will be a rocky one.

3) The last one is emotional baggage. Is she sane? Is she hurt by past relationships that she blows hot and cold with you? Does she have a sticky ex in the background asking her to come back?

Guys, no matter how chio they are, its best to leave these types alone for the long run. Being single is sometimes better than in the same room with an emotionally unstable person for the next 50 years.

In fact these three can be mentioned to the male side as well to keep your relationship strong. Make sure you have
1) integrity and don’t cheat
2) Be flexible about things, see things from her view point and accommodate her
3) Move on from your past emotional baggage.

Hope you learned something from my contributions. Always remembered if there are any problems, reflect on her interest level, your confidence, control and challenge, and her integrity, flexibility and emotional baggage.

The End.

what i discovered while having insomnia

About 2 nights ago I couldn't sleep even after 2 hours of tossing in bed so I went out switched on the tv to see what was on. I was surprised to see an old drama Twin Bliss 龙凤呈祥
airing at 3a.m in the morning.

I was watching it for a while and quite amazed at some of the old faces like ex-tcs actress Cherie Lim and Chen Hanwei with his long hair back in the 90's.

Check out the super retro theme song of the show.

Heard this song on tv during an ad and I thought it sounds really nice so decided to post here as well. =)

Better to slack during Recession

the exams are over and I'm living the life of a 宅男 at the moment.

looking for a job although not very active since the economy is bad and no unknown callers from potential companies so far.

contemplating the possibilities of part time jobs but only if they are short term and interesting and hopefully e-business related so i can learn something.

I felt reassured when I realised that my friend who got 2nd upper honours is slacking as well heh. he told me "Now the opportunity cost of slacking is lower ".

I guess he is right to a certain extent since I haven't had much luck so far in the job hunt might as well take the chance to relax a bit before i enter the working world where you work long hours and have little holidays.

Maybe i should compile a list of the things I want to do while I have the time to do it since working life can be tiring and leave you little time to do many things.

The only problem now is that I have a lot of time but little money $$$ to do the things I want so I got to shortlist some cheap or FREE activities to do in order to survive a little longer.

S Factor Finals

Its down to 2 girls : Sonia and Kay Kay.

I sort of expected kay kay to enter the finals from episode 1 as she's one of the prettiest and most familiar face on tv after girl on girl and other shows which I can't remember.

Didn't expect Sonia to go all the way and I find her quite an underdog since she's so bitchy on screen and she does not portray a very positive aura compared to the rest of the girls.

I think next sunday would be the finals so who do you think will win it ?

While looking up for more info on Kay Kay I came across an old video of her in another program call Chick vs Dick featuring her and Paul Twohill. I gotta say its pretty interesting and funny !
Some of the challenges are quite innovative and you can check it out in the video below.

The cute girl

Saw cute girl again today while on the train back home. I wonder why our paths keep crossing this week.

The last time i saw her was just 2 days ago near the bus interchange and she still looked as cute as ever except that she curled her hair now instead of straight. So who's the cute girl ?

I don't really know lol. First time I noticed her was at school in lecture and she caught my attention being so cute and all but i never actually had the courage to get to know her or anything.

But from past experience cute looking girls usually aren't as cute when you get to know them haha.
She has the kind of face that is round and big eyes and look like she hasn't aged since secondary school and I think she can pass off as one easily if she's in uniform.

Star trek and sandals

I was walking around and suddenly the sandals strap gave way. being close proximity to west mall I had no choice but head to the nearest shoe shop to get a new pair before I have to go on barefoot.

Since I had no idea which brand is better, I decided to check out the brand of the broken one i was wearing. "BODYMASTER" sounds cool enough so I went to Bata but unfortunately they do not have this brand so I walked around to look for it.

After that I think I finally found the brand at sportslink =).

I think bodymaster is more comfortable than power sandals which i used to wear.

Star Trek

My bro and me went to catch the movie since I was free and there was no other movies to watch after Wolverine.

Although I had totally no background on the story, I totally enjoyed the movie as the scenes were really fantastic with all the space shuttles and weird looking people all around.

Despite that fact that the movie is slightly more than 2 hours, the entire movie was pretty action packed leaving the audience little time to sit back before some fighting or shooting takes place again. That was also part of the reason why I had problems following the storyline in the movie.

wonder when will it come a time where we can just teleport place to place.

I didn't understand how could the bowl shaped hair Spock had in the movie could become famous again in the future. Oh well that's how unpredictable the future is.

How to avoid tearing when cutting onions

Ever had the experience of tears filling your eyes when you cut onions ?

cutting onions

here is a quick tip you can try to prevent this from happening.

First, take a slice of bread ( a small piece will do ), and place it in your mouth when you are cutting the onion.

You will realise that you won't be tearing at all !

Sounds incredible ? try it yourself.

Sniper : Edison Chen comeback kid

I can see much clearer with the lens !

1 sniper takes down a whole police squad. Impossible ?

Definitely. All you need is a sniper rifle and a shooting range of >400m.

Edison Chen is a hero in this movie being the sole survivor at the end of the showdown.

Arshavin nets 4 to hold Liverpool to a draw

Andrei Arshavin quadruple all but ends Liverpool's title dreams

Just as it appeared an Iron Curtain had fallen on Liverpool’s title bid, as Russia’s Andrei Arshavin scored four and Poland’s Lukasz Fabianski made save after save, Yossi Benayoun rescued a point for Rafa Benitez’s men. This was astonishing fare, utterly in keeping with a sensational season.
