Food hunting course
its been a while since i walked home with the afternoon sun shining down on me on a weekday. It feels great =)
Since i started working, i left home before the sun rises and reach home either in the evening or dusk. Hardly is there a chance to see the afternoon sun and the crowd it brings.
its always good to take a break from work with a nice course which brings you somewhere away from your workplace.
Today is the first of 4 days of my course at tiong bahru.
rather than a work related course, it seems more like a food hunting course where my colleague and I went to try out different foods around the area known for its good food.
today we wanted to head to tiong bahru market but it was closed. went to a nearby coffee shop which was pretty old school.
it has the malaysian coffeeshop flavour where there's only 1 or 2 food stalls and 1 drink stall in a street corner with those old furniture and setting.
and you know usually they serve pretty delicious food. I tried the yong tau foo there. not the typical ones where u can choose the dish but they have a fixed portion of fish cake and some other stuff with noodles.
its really nice ! I was tempted to try the other stall selling vegetarian noodles cos it smells really good but i think i could go back another day.
